Mileham Village Hall

The current hall was officially opened in 1997, and has been the main meeting place for the village ever since. It is used by a number of organisations and groups, and most large village  meetings are held there.

The hall is available for hire at very competitive rates - £8 per hour if you live in the village, or £9 per hour for non-residents. It is suitable for both one-off or regular events, has off-street parking for approximately fifteen cars and has wheel-chair access.

The hall’s main features are :-

How to book the hall

To check the availability of the hall, please click here. If the hall appears to be available, you will need to complete our Booking Form.

The Booking Form also refers to our Hire Agreement, Children and Vulnerable Adults Protection and Safeguarding Policy and Equal Opportunity Policy documents, all of which you will need to comply with as conditions of the hire. You will also need to comply with any restrictions put in place by local or national government.

Our public liability insurance covers hirers for most eventualities - please check the Hirers’ Public Liability Summary of Cover and Hirers’ Public Liability Extension documents to make sure that your event is properly covered. If not, you will need to arrange any additional cover required at your own expense. In order to be eligible for cover under our policy, you will need to ensure that you abide by all restrictions/requirements contained within these documents.

Full details of our premises licence can be obtained from Breckland Council - to enquire, please click here and use the email link provided. Regrettably, their on-line register appears not to be working at the moment. If our licence does not cover your event then, following our acceptance of the booking, you will need to arrange and pay for any necessary licence variations (e.g. Temporary Event Notice). We will not permit any events to take place that are not properly licensed.

All users of the hall, in particular those working on their own in the hall, must comply with our Lone Worker Policy

If you require any further information, or require help with the booking process, please don’t hesitate to contact Nancy Krois on 0300 0200 650 or by email

Paper copies of all of the above documents are available on request.
